Senior Developer

Job description

Senior Developer required to work with a Government department. This is an initial 2 month contract, paying £650 a day, inside IR35, hybrid working.

Job Description:

You will:

- work with product, interaction, content and research colleagues to create new components and patterns in the design system.

- maintain the design system to work with an evolving landscape of technologies and browsers.

- Demonstrable experience and expert knowledge of vanilla HTML, CSS and JavaScript.

- A working knowledge and good understanding of accessibility, as well as experience building accessible user interfaces.

- Experience working on a design system to support multiple product teams, as well as experience maintaining a large and far reaching front-end library.

- Experience working on existing codebases (maintenance, refactoring, evolutionary development).

- Experience using automated tests to continuously validate your work, and specifically writing automated tests for frontend components.

- The ability to explain technical details to non-technical colleagues in a multi-disciplinary team, and have enthusiasm for sharing knowledge and supporting others.
