Location: Frederick Street Sunderland
Hours: Monday - Friday 9.00am - 5.30pm or 8.30-5pm
Hybrid (3 days in the office & 2 days WFH) with initial training in the office full time
Salary: £26,000 + Uncapped commission

This role involves managing a Perms desk, primarily focuses on the Industrial sector, supporting local businesses in Sunderland and surrounding areas.
You'll excel in face-to-face client meetings, fostering and expanding relationships by engaging with lapsed, existing, and potential clients. This position demands adaptability in a fast-paced environment, readiness to seize the day, and a strong drive for progression within the recruitment industry. Success will involve leveraging sales skills to maximise your personal financial outcomes.
The ideal candidate will thrive in competitive settings, demonstrate initiative and a willingness to engage in door-to-door efforts when necessary for client wins. Attitude is key; we're seeking someone with enthusiasm for the job, a love for relationship-building and exceptional communication skills.
Team
You will be part of a supportive, established, and award-winning team, where you are free to control and manage your own desk, with the support, training and development from the Branch Manager, Emma Laws, and Temps Consultant Louise Mann.
What you will be doing
· Developing long term professional business relationships with both clients and candidates.
· Providing a specialist consultative service by developing a thorough understanding of your Town/City.
· Sourcing and successfully placing permanent candidates into roles.
· Delivering a high level of customer service to all clients, candidates, and colleagues.
· Using sales, business development, marketing techniques and networking to attract business from companies.
· Visiting companies to build and develop working relationships.
· Develop a good understanding of companies, their industry, what they do and their work culture and environment.
· Advertising vacancies by drafting and placing adverts in a wide range of media, for example websites and magazines.
· Headhunting - identifying and approaching suitable candidates who may already be in work.
· Receiving and reviewing applications, managing interviews and tests and creating a shortlist of candidates for the client.
· Meeting and briefing the candidate about the responsibilities, salary and benefits of the job in question.
· Preparing CVs and correspondence to forward to clients in respect of suitable applicants.
· Offering advice to both clients and candidates on pay rates, training, and career progression.
About you
You don't need to have recruitment experience; you can be someone who has come from a soft-sales background or someone who wants to enter the rewarding role of recruitment!
More than anything we need someone who is strong on the phones, wants to pick up the phone and speak to people to offer recruitment solutions.
You will be working on warehouse roles primarily, but a focus on engineering roles would be ideal whether you have an interest to learn more about that trade or have worked in it previously. It's incredible what knowledge of an industry will do to pull in a candidate, prepare them for the role and make your client(s) very happy with their new hire!
