My client is looking for a QA Automation Engineer to join their team in Dublin.

The QA Automation Engineer is responsible for the automation of various Enterprise Business Unit products including coordination of other testing resources as appropriate. You will perform testing activities on various cross-product projects and implement automated testing and code reviews. You will communicate with various internal and external stakeholders, as appropriate, including product management, service delivery, development and customers. You will be able to demonstrate an ability to create a positive working environment focusing all parties on delivering quality product. During the project development life cycle, you will identify and resolve testing and data integrity issues both pre- and post-production and proactively manage and track release activities and stay current with new technology and approaches.

This position involves research and implementing improved testing methods, processes, tools, and test systems to ensure that products meet total quality management and/or other reliability standards. You may be required to administer and coordinate remote team(s). You will ensure that the team delivers test cases to the required quality standard and that the product has sufficient automation coverage. You will work with other QA leads and help develop the QA competency within the organisation.

Essential Responsibilities:

*Sound knowledge of Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC), including testing techniques and tools.
*Experience scoping projects and developing test plans.
*Ability to effectively communicate with cross-functional and remote teams.
*Familiarity with MS XP, Windows 2000, MS Office and MS Project.
*Evaluation and enhancement test process skills to improve overall product quality.
*Must have the ability to read and interpret documents, instructions and information
*Must be able to capture technical requirements as dictated by the client/ and demonstrate the ability to effectively communicate those requirements verbally and in writing.
*Must have the ability to speak effectively to groups courteously and tactfully in person, on phone, etc.
Education and/or Experience:
*Undergraduate degree in Computer Science
*Strong experience with a significant demonstrable experience in automating testing
*Experience testing with web and mobile applications
*Prior experience in web services API testing and web testing
*Excellent knowledge of Quality Assurance methodology from development through test to production
*Subject matter expert in QA Automation
*Exposure to Agile Software Development is a plus
*Hands on experience using tools such as Selenium, TestNG, SoapUI, Jmeter.
*Hands on experience with Continuous Integration servers (e.g. Jenkins or Bamboo), configuring/ administering/scheduling automation builds.
*Knowledge of a major programming/scripting language (e.g. Java, C#).
*Excellent trouble-shooting and technical problem-solving skills.
*Experience with cross platform / browser testing, particularly in the context of test automation.
*Proven ability to understand back-end data models & configurations and comfortable running SQL queries against DB
