Our client, a rapidly expanding business in Chelmsford who have a company turnover of over 22 million are looking to recruit a Purchasing Assistant.

Reporting to the Head of Purchasing and working as part of a team of two, you will be responsible for:

·  Purchasing of stock overseas, predominantly in the Far East.

·  Negotiating with suppliers

·  Raising of purchase orders

·  Working closely with internal departments in particular the Warehouse to manage stock levels

·  Anaylsing sales figures to ensure product/stock levels are maintained

·  Updating product information on Sage and with the web management team

·  Supporting with the warehouse stock take

·  All general administration for the purchasing department.

Working on Sage 200 and on a bespoke sales order processing system.

The office environment has a relaxed dress code and a strong team working ethos. To make the position a success you must have purchasing experience, an outgoing approach and be a confident and efficient communicator.

Salary £18,000 - £25,000 (depending on experience)

Hours 8.30 - 5.30pm Monday - Friday

22 days holiday plus 3 days at Christmas (+ bank holidays)
