My client a charity based in Maidenhead are looking for a Purchase Ledger Supervisor to join their team on a permanent basis.
Your main duties will involve;
� Responsible for the transactional month end for Head Office.
� Ensures correct recording, within the accounts system, of all Head Office purchase ledger including purchase management, cash, bank and credit card transactions.
� Ensures that staff across the business are completing, authorising travel expenses and credit card transactions and submitting to monthly deadlines.
� Monitors daily cash flow and prepares cash flow forecasts within Head Office bank accounts and tracks funding contributions received from Member Governments.
� Prepares and controls the Head Office Bank accounts, including monthly reconciliations.
� Produces and reconciles monthly reports on balance sheet accounts.
� Main administrator for the Commission's on-line banking and credit card systems.
� Has mandated authority on number bank accounts, responsible for set-up and governance of HSBC net for the Commission.
� Controls the Know your customer (KYC) and other governance activity with the banks and other currency providers.
� Foreign currency transactions, has responsibility for arranging the foreign currency purchases, negotiates with the bank/providers to get the best deal.
� Main administrator, co-ordinating with the Digital and IT team, to ensure the payment system is functioning, i.e. PayPal
� Responsible for the financial allocation of receipts and donations into Head Office
� Responsible for Gift Aid returns.
� Support to the Financial Reporting Accountant and the Financial Controller covering forecasting cash & hedging requirements including controls and governance.
� Responsibility for sorting and defining Microsoft Dynamics GP transactional processing queries, setting up users and communication with area Management and Finance.
� Supports the implementation of technical developments of the finance system accounting package in Head Office and Areas, including co-ordinating and working along-side the Systems Accountant.
� Develops the use of Microsoft Dynamics GP reporting facilities and produces reports for monthly control, audit and for budget holders as required
� Ad hoc activities and projects for the Financial Reporting Accountant and the Financial Controller
You must have;
· Recognised computerised book-keeping qualification or relevant experience
· Full knowledge and understanding of general accounting and double entry ledger accounting
· Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office and in particular Excel
· General accounting and double entry ledger accounting
· Computerised book-keeping
· Purchase ledger experience
� Managing external relationships with banks & suppliers
� Extensive experience of a range of purchasing and payment processes
� Banking and treasury experience, including multi-currency and complex banking transactions
� General ledger reconciliations
� Supervising/managing staff, providing ongoing training and mentoring
