Purpose of the role

This role will predominantly be supporting the Project accountants who are responsible for the technical and accounting integration and reporting of any acquisitions. The role may require involvement with other ah-hoc projects as and when necessary.

This position is to cover a Maternity leave on a 12 months fixed term contract, with the possibility of leading onto a longer term, or permanent opportunity.

Role/Department/Specific Responsibilities

This is a highly varied role with responsibilities including but not limited to:

= Supporting the existing M&A team to understand and take on the financial integration of any new acquisitions

= Communicating with external advisors in order to complete any initial accounting and legal requirements

= Liaising with colleagues around the business and at the acquisition sites as part of the integration process

= Supporting the production of the completion accounts through reconciliation of nominal accounts

= Aiding with the completion of banking and legal forms for the integration of the acquisitions and Hive up process.

= Delivering external audit requirements.

= Working with the existing team to support projects and other aspects of financial reporting.

= Liaising with other departments and supporting ad-hoc requests

The Project Accounts Assistant must have a good knowledge of double entry and be able to pro-actively review and question documents received for banking and legal purposes. They need to be able to provide clear communications between all parts of the business and external customers and suppliers.
