Production Process Engineer

This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who is from a production/engineering background who wants to join a company who are dynamic, want to make changes and need someone to drive these changes and improvements.

The purpose of the role is to manage the introduction of new products within the manufacturing environment and make improvements to current manufacturing process.

Responsibilities include:

- assessing current process, creating new ideas for process improvements or new methods/equipment, making proposals and assessing cost v benefit

- have ownership of BOM's and all production process

- create process flow and value stream maps for production

- contribute towards the company gaining ISO accreditation

- drive the implementation of new processes from research through to planning and delivery, documenting processes to support this, performing trials and measuring the output/benefit

- ensure yield improvement is at the forefront of all activity

- working alongside design engineers, maintenance engineers and production managers to deliver increased capability, efficiency, drive down waste and cost

candidates should have:

- proven manufacturing experience specifically around process engineering

- a mechanical and electrical engineering background

- NPI experience

- a scientific interest and background would be desirable but not essential

- confident user of all Microsoft applications

- an understanding of materials processing and supply chain

- lean manufacturing and continuous improvement experience would also be preferable
