PLACEMENT OFFICER
BROMLEY
MONDAY- FRIDAY 9AM- 5PM
6 MONTH ASSIGNMENT
£15.23 HOURLY RATE
ASAP START
Main duties will include:
· To receive referrals and assessments from care managers and social workers for clients requiring placements
· To make recommendations to the social worker and/or funding panel on the most appropriate and best value options that will meet service users needs.
· To ensure that notifications of service changes are made to the Finance department.
· To commission packages of support for children and their families to prevent unnecessary receptions of you,ng people into care,
· To negotiate the cost of all placements and support packages
· To undertake inspection and evaluation visits to providers for both individual clients and for general database records.
· To undertake investigation of complaints and concerns as raised by the team, social workers or managers regarding external providers.
· To assist the Leaving Care team to identify suitable and appropriate accommodation for you,ng people to move on to when they reach the age of 18.
The ideal candidate will have:
· Experience of working in a Social Care setting
· Experience of negotiating agreements or contracts
· Previous experience of a customer focused environment
· Strong communication skills
· A high level of computer and IT skills
· Effective organisational and time management skills
· A knowledge of the range of services that are available to children, families and adults.
