Adecco: Payroll Administrator
Job Title:Payroll and Accounts Administrator
Reporting To:Financial Controller

Role Purpose:The Payroll and Accounts Administrator is responsible for all payroll processes, computing wages, and ensuring that employees' salaries are paid correctly and on schedule, as well as the general administration of accounts and maintenance of records.

Objectives and Main Duties/Responsibilities:

*Support the Company in optimising our financial transactions and systems.

*Ensure timely and accurate processing of monthly payroll.

*Responsible for reviewing and querying expense claims, the correct application of VAT for authorisation by line managers.

*Review and maintain register of monthly travel sheets and the correct application of BIK.

*Provide information and answer employee questions about payroll related matters.

*Management of employee data, ensuring the accuracy of timesheets, computing wages, and ensuring employees are paid correctly and on time.

*Calculating payable hours, commissions, bonuses, tax withholdings, and deductions.

*Ensure accuracy of payroll records by maintaining databases with updates in status changes, tax withholdings, benefits deductions, time off accruals, SAGE Payroll, etc.

*Exercise integrity, discretion and confidentiality in financial reporting.

*Comply with Demant, Revenue and local financial requirements.

*Review invoices for appropriate documentation prior to payment.

*Perform invoice and general ledger data entry.

* Support the Company in optimising our financial transactions and systems.

* Reconcile finance accounts, invoices and identify discrepancies.

* Maintenance of digital and physical financial records.

* Scan, file and log accounting documents.

* Prepare and fact-check accounting documents.

* Create and update expense reports.

* Prepare bank deposits.

* Issue invoices.

*Coordinating with the HR, Learning and Development Department to ensure correct employee data.

*Assist the Financial Controller as needed.

*Participate in cross functional training as required and instructed from time to time.

*Carry out any other duties as instructed by the Financial Controller or other Officer as assigned by the Managing Director.

Work Experience and Skills Required:

*Strong Communication Skills both written and oral.

*Excellent Telephone Skills and Manner.

*Previous Office/Secretarial/Payroll Experience Essential.

*IPASS Qualification preferable.

*Previous Payroll knowledge for Republic of Ireland and UK necessary.

*Previous experience of working in Microsoft Outlook, AX, Basware, Concur, etc.

*Professional Standard of Computer Literacy in particular Microsoft Office Suite and Excel.

*High level of numerical accuracy.

*Understand priorities with the ability to meet tight deadlines.

*Advanced Excel skills

Personal Characteristics:

*A finance/accounting/business or payroll qualification.

*Strong mathematical and problem-solving skills.

*Prior experience in accounts payroll.

*Working knowledge of relevant legislation.

*Experience with accounting software and online platforms (Basware, Concur etc.)

*A team-player with an ability to work on own initiative and under pressure.

*An excellent time-keeper who is reliable and punctual.

*Takes pride in their work and possesses excellent organisational and multitasking skills, as well as a keen attention to detail.

*Good time management skills and efficient.

*A High level of Flexibility.
