Job Title: Night Shift Warehouse Operative
Summary of Role:
Warehouse Operatives are responsible for the safe and efficient handling of lighting, rigging and other supporting MBSE rental assets, ensuring the highest adherence to inventory controls and service delivery levels. Warehouse Operatives also support Equipment Technicians with the cleaning and preparation of equipment. Duties include, but are not limited to:
� Accurately and efficiently moving goods between different locations around the operation.
� Loading and unloading of vehicles while adhering to relevant procedures and risk assessments.
� Accurately scanning/recording rental assets through the various stages of distribution on the RTPro system via the use of computers and hand scanners.
� Recognising and counting non coded equipment and entering accurate information into the system.
� Recognise sub hire equipment as a priority, tag sub hires where appropriate and place in the defined areas.
� Ensuring work areas are kept clean and tidy.
� Checking returned goods for damaged and/or missing items and reporting where found.
� Correct use and maintenance of PPE and manual handling equipment.
� Being part of the team, always contributing to a safe working environment.
� Immediately escalating to their Department Supervisor or the Equipment Manager any instances of stock anomalies or inaccuracies within the department they are working.
� Ensuring all equipment pulled for dispatch is routed to the correct bay at the correct time as per Equipment Coordinator's and Operational Manager's requests.
� Liaison and tasking as required with/by Department Supervisors, Equipment Manager and inventory teams and to ensure correct stock levels are maintained.
� Liaison and tasking as required with/by other members of operational staff and management to meet the needs of the business.
Asset Management, Storage & Quality Control:
� Ensure all equipment is handled safely and efficiently at all times.
� Ensure all equipment is prepared and tested in line with company procedures and policies, as well as any relevant legislation.
� To immediately escalate any areas of concern relating to inventory and asset control to the Department Supervisor.
� Positively strive to achieve and sustain the highest standards of service levels in relation to quality of equipment and service delivery.
� To complete and ensure all company procedures are followed in relation to QC checks and scanning controls.
Health & Safety:
� At all times demonstrate a commitment to achieving a culture of safety.
� To ensure all health and safety policies are followed, including manual handling, use of mechanical handling equipment and safe storage of equipment.
� At all times maintain clear pedestrian and evacuation routes through the warehouse and external areas. To also prevent any stored equipment or handling equipment from presenting a hazard.
� Escalate areas of concern through the correct channels.
Essential Skills:
� Driven to achieve and maintain the highest quality and service standards.
� Must be IT literate with the ability to learn in house asset management systems.
� Demonstrating a positive approach to the company whilst reacting to the high demands of the business.
� Very good communication skills.
� Adaptable and willingness to learn.
� Flexible to work overtime and occasional weekends as the needs to the business require
