We have an exciting new vacancy for a candidate to join company in Tewkesbury we are looking for a Manufacturing Operative who has a flexible working approach, can contribute towards the team effort and is empowered to undertake work on their own initiative. Experience in operating presses, moulding machines or lathes would be advantageous.

The Manufacturing Operative will set machines and carry out all operations as outlined on production paperwork, ensuring the machine is set correctly in order to comply with Company and Legislative Safety Laws, ensuring the maximum output is achieved per machine cycle, and any other duties deemed as necessary to meet the needs of company business.

You will be required to contribute towards scrap reduction by eliminating waste, inspecting own parts, correct material usage and correct machine usage in order to achieve zero scrap.

The role will also involve understanding customer requirements, participating in and contributing to Continuous Improvement activities, interpreting manufacturing paperwork and ensuring product is stored correctly to avoid contamination and damage.

You are also expected to maintain a good standard of cleanliness within areas and the factory, report all shortages, scrap and downtime as necessary, rectify defects where possible and contribute towards problem solving.

Hours are 06:00-14:00 and 14:00-00:00, alternating weekly.
