My client is a well-established manufacturer of bespoke supplier to the engineering industries, based in the Cramlington area. Due to the ongoing success, my client is seeking a Maintenance Fitter to join their team. This is a permanent position with fantastic benefits for the right candidate.

My client are looking for a Maintenance Fitter who is able to undertake planned, preventive and reactive maintenance activities on equipment, tools and facilities across the whole site.

·  Responsible for ensuring safe working practices are followed at all times.

·  Completion of effective planned preventive maintenance of equipment, tools and facilities, with an emphasis on breakdown prevention through the continual development of PPM procedures.

·  Installation and/or modification of equipment as required.

·  Root cause analysis of breakdowns and implementation of effective reoccurrence prevention plans using tools such as Major Breakdown Reports.

·  Work as part of a maintenance team and demonstrate good communication skills in interfacing with other departments, suppliers, contractors and manufacturers as required.

·  Operating access platforms including scissor lifts and cherry pickers.

·  Use of PC for accessing information, emails and completing reports.

·  Training and mentoring of apprentices.
