We have an exciting opportunity for a Lighting Designer to join a fantastic company in Haydock.
-Responsible for preparation and presentation of lighting design schemes to customers
-Liaise with Sales office who instigate formal scheme quotation, and create a lighting scheme package in preparation for issue to customer
-Issue completed designs via email to customers ensuring exact requests have been implemented
-Take phone calls from customers assisting with wide range of lighting design queries
-Assist in preparation and upkeep of the 'enquiry list' of projects
-Preparation and presentation of lighting design topics to area sales managers and/ or customers

DELIVERY
- Liaise closely with our customers as well as contractors, consultants, engineers and architects to establish the correct specification of lighting onto each enquiry
-To identify potential issues with customers' requirements and resolve using knowledge of lighting design and customer asks
-Utilising PC software packages including Relux (to produce detailed lighting calculations), AutoCAD (to manipulate floor plans for use with Relux) and Adobe Photoshop
-Assisting in securing orders by value engineering and offering multiple lighting solutions
-Focus on design accuracy ensuring suitability of fittings recommended
-Establish and maintain positive relationships with people at all levels, ensuring regular communication with Managers, Technical Engineers and support functions
-Completion of project log trackers for performance review

-LIA qualification, AutoCAD & Adobe Photoshop is desired but not essential.
-Good level of general and further education
-Experience of working in design industry
-Experience of working as a member of process improvement activities against a clear set of objectives.
-Good written and verbal communication skills with the ability to influence and work cross functionally
-Computer-literate, being fully conversant with MS Excel, Word
-Relux experience
-Possess exceptional customer service skills
-Able to work independently as well as within a team environment
-Able to gain respect of others by demonstration design knowledge and instilling confidence in work
-Able to operate confidently and communicate effectively at all levels, both verbally and in a written form
-Professional in approach, and able to lead by example with confidence
-Committed to learning and self-development

Salary - £18k to £20k (Higher salary for LIA qualified candidate may be available)
