Carpet layers wanted to work at an event at a prestigious venue in York for a 2-day assignment. Days to cover are Friday 18th August and Saturday 19th August - the assignment has a relatively early start, but finishes mid-afternoon, and each shift is just over 8 hours.
Duties include:
- Laying carpet as directed for venue set-up
- Setting up chairs, tables and other structures as directed
- Installing stages and temporary barriers as needed
- Installing lighting and power rigs as directed
- Helping to pack away and correctly store equipment, rigs and temporary flooring and barriers after the event

You must be punctual, hardworking, and have laid carpet (if not have done event building) before, though experience of event staffing is preferred, and there is the potential of more events to be covered in future if all goes well.
