Adecco are looking for are looking for an aspiring, enthusiastic and motivated individual to join one of our clients as a Quantity Surveyor with New Build experience.

This is one of our favourite clients to work with, and everyone we place there loves it. They are a reputable and leading company across the Property and Construction industry. With a strong reputation to provide the leading-edge advice on some of the most challenging and large-scale projects in the UK.

The candidate must have excellent communication skills and be the sort to thrive in a hardworking and dynamic work environment. Salary will vary dependant on experience and education background.

Responsibilities

As a Quantity Surveyor, you'll need to:

·  Procure documents for Sub-contract enquiries and the analysis of tenders received.

·  undertake cost analysis and support to the commercial department.

·  identify, analyse and develop responses to commercial risks

·  prepare and analyse costings for tenders

·  Prepare detailed orders and contract documentation for subcontractors

·  Management of site budgets and controlling ledgers for sub-contractor payments.

·  Assist in the preparation of monthly valuations and analysis of progress on site.

·  Maintain weekly and monthly payments to sub-contractors.

·  understand the implications of health and safety regulations.

Skills & Requirements

You'll need to show:

·  a practical and logical mind and a methodical way of thinking

·  a creative and innovative approach to problem solving

·  strong numeracy and financial management skills

·  the ability to learn sophisticated design and costing IT packages

·  the ability to write clear and precise reports and to relate complex information in a simple way to a diverse range of people

·  negotiation and team work skills

·  At least 2 years of experience working in the new build construction industries
