Job description
Adecco's specialist Property Services Division are proud to have been commissioned to partner with a National Housing Association to assist them in recruiting a permanent Health & Safety Advisor to be based from their offices in either Bradford or Peterborough.
Duties
As a Health & Safety Advisor, you'll support and improve colleague safety, providing assurance that the health and safety management system is meeting its legal requirements and that risk controls are in place and effective.
This will be achieved through delivering colleague safety training programmes, supporting and advising colleagues in your areas and auditing to a schedule in order to monitor and analyse the performance of the health and safety management system. You'll also be involved in accident investigations and providing a responsive service to colleagues and customers when they need advice on Health & Safety matters.
Candidate Requirements - Essential
· NEBOSH General Certificate
· Deep understanding and experience of current UK health & safety legislative and regulatory requirements and how to apply them.
· Experience of internal auditing or auditing in a variety of health & safety fields
· Passionate about people and their wellbeing and able to inspire the same perspective in colleagues
· Curious, creative and innovative in problem solving, an analytical mind with an eye for detail and a capacity for logical and critical thinking
· A brilliantly positive team player, who will be committed to delivering excellence
· Accountable, open and honest. Taking ownership of situations from beginning to end to ensure the best possible outcome
· Fantastic relationship skills which enables you to build rapport with all stakeholders
· A keen eye for value for money and able to deliver
· Willingness and flexibility to travel
· Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle for business use
Salary & Benefits
· £37,184 per annum
· £1,250 car allowance
· 35 Hour working weeks
· 28 days paid holiday (pro-rata excluding bank holidays) per year rising by 1 day per year up to a maximum of one working week.
· A choice of Pension Schemes including a Defined Benefit Scheme with a 7.5% member contribution or a Defined Contribution Scheme with a 4% member contribution and 4% employer contribution. Both pension schemes provide Life Insurance Cover.
· Option to purchase additional holiday of up to 2 of your working weeks (at managers discretion.
