We currently have an exciting opportunity for a Grounds Maintenance Operative to join a well established organisation based in Stevenage. The key function will be to carry our Street Scene grounds maintenance, landscaping, horticultural and/or sports husbandry maintenance and cemetery operations.

Key Responsibilities
*Carrying out all required duties related to Street Scene grounds maintenance, horticulture, sports pitch provision, cemetery operation and parks maintenance as required to a high standard.
* Operating machinery and ensuring all operations are carried out in a safe manner and strictly in accordance with the Health and Safety Executive and the Company's Health and Safety at Work policies and risk assessments.
*Responsibility for the security, correct usage and care of all machinery, tools and equipment.
*Immediately report all defects, losses, damage and accidents to team leader or any other designated person supervising.
*Maintaining good working relationships with members of the public and other staff and contractors within the area of work.

Skills & Experience
*Previous experience working in an outdoor environment and capable of working in a physically demanding capacity is highly desirable.
*Enthusiastic individual who is able to deliver required quantities and standards of work.
*Understanding of safe working practices in terms of Health & Safety at work.
*Good working knowledge of hand tools and machinery and their safe operation.
