Fork Lift Truck Driver/Production Operative

A manufacturer and supplier of bespoke and high quality products. This includes furniture and timber frame buildings. We have contracts and dealings with both small independent clients as well as large blue-chip property developers.

What are we looking for?

As part of our continuing growth, we are currently recruiting an experienced fork lift truck driver/warehouse operative. The main duties will be as follows.

·  Loading and unloading of deliveries and collections.

·  Moving pallets from storage to production as required.

·  Moving pods on site between our manufacturing & storage units. For this it would be preferable, but not essential for the candidate to have a heavy goods licence.

·  Clean and heat wrap pods prior to dispatch.

·  Dealing with waste from factory, emptying bins and skips etc.

·  Banks man for guiding trucks safely in and out of site.

As there isn't a constant work flow for this role the candidate would be expected to help with production of the bathroom pods in between the above duties as required.

What do we expect from a candidate?

The ideal candidate will possess excellent time management/organisational skills as well as the confidence to communicate well with colleagues. The candidate must have an eye for keeping the workshop neat & tidy. Some experience of driving heavy goods vehicles would be beneficial for guiding the trucks to delivery areas. You must be willing to learn, work well as part of a team and be enthusiastic and hard working.
