Finance Lead Band 8D - Immediate Start
Are you an experienced Finance Lead looking for an exciting opportunity to join a dynamic team? We have an immediate opening for a Finance Lead Band 8D to join our client's organisation.
This role offers a daily rate of £438 and a hybrid working model with 2 days required in the office per week.
Hybrid working - 2 days minimum required in the office per week (base being Kingfisher House, Huntingdon)
As the Finance Lead, you will be responsible for leading the Financial Accounts and Income team. You will also be covering the Assistant Director of Finance role, ensuring the integrity of the balance sheet, payroll, payments, receivables, and SBS transactions oversight. Your expertise will contribute to monthly financial close, board reporting, NHSE submission, and year-end accounts.
This is an immediate start position for an initial period of 6 months, ensuring continuity during year-end and the annual audit process. We are seeking a self-motivated individual with strong attention to detail and excellent problem-solving skills.
Key Responsibilities:
· Resolve payroll issues
· Complete Charity review
· Oversee outsourced Operational Financial Services
· Ensure statutory compliance for month and year-end accounts, Charity Accounting, and VAT Returns
· Support financial planning of the Balance Sheet and Cash flow
· Maintain integrity of the financial reporting system
· Manage debt collection resulting from salary overpayments
· Provide budget holder training on financial management
· Perform financial reconciliations and provide finance information
Required Skills:
· Previous experience in a finance leadership role
· Strong knowledge of financial systems and regulations
· Excellent communication and collaboration skills
· Ability to analyse and interpret financial data
· Attention to detail and accuracy in financial reporting
