Our client are a large international organisation who are growing within the UK and as such seeking a retail Store Merchandiser who has strong retail experience and excellent customer service skills.

The role will be field based and you will be travelling anywhere between 1-2 hours from Basingstoke to various retail stores within those locations.

A van will be provided, all travel costs paid for upfront, a company mobile phone / Ipad, and a company credit card in the event you need to stay away due to store locations.

You will have strong retail experience, excellent customer and communication skills, have a full UK driving licence. be flexible travelling and enjoy being hands on and customer facing.

Main aspects of the role will include:

Visiting retail stores where you will check the company products are displayed correctly and well presented, check the bar codes are correct and offers displayed clearly
Assist with assembling display products such as bed side units, wardrobes etc so they are on display for customers to see
You may be required to use elevated work platforms such as scissor lifts but full training will be given so no previous experience is required
You may be advising customers whilst you are in store if they have questions around the products and also assisting with the staff and their product knowledge around the products
Drive to and from stores covering South London, West London and also Chichester - as the company grows your patch to travel to will decrease
Report daily on your work hours, locations visited and refit activities carried out
Establish and maintain relationships with store management teams
You may be required to stay away from home around 10 nights a month which will be fully paid for upfront - again this will decrease as your patch decreases

Experience and skills required

You must have a full UK drivers licence
You must be happy travelling to the above locations and be flexible if required to stay away from home as and when required
Excellent customer service skills and communication skills
A hands on approach is key as you will be assembling products
Strong similar retail experience is required such as having worked for DIY stores, electrical or plumbing, or anywhere that provides flat packed storage or furniture

This role offers a competitive salary of £25'000 plus van, tools, phone / I pad, all petrol costs and a company credit card for when staying away from home.

You will work with someone else initially whilst you train and full training is provided.
