Rate : £180.00 - £190.00 per day umbrella
About the Role
We are seeking a proactive and customer-focused Desktop Support and Technology Bar Associate to join our IT team. In this 2nd Line IT support role, you will play a vital part in ensuring the seamless operation of our desktop and desk-side environments, including hardware, software, video conferencing, and mobile devices.
This role is based at our Technology Bar area and offers the opportunity to provide hands-on IT support while collaborating with various teams to resolve technical challenges effectively.
Key Responsibilities
· IT Support:
· Provide walk-up and email support for desktop and desk-side environments, handling tickets and escalating as needed.
· Administer PC builds, application software, SCCM, and printing.
· Offer primary support for video conferencing systems and perform daily checks for meeting rooms, printers, and IT equipment.
· Collaboration & Coordination:
· Liaise with 3rd-level support teams for complex issues and coordinate with external vendors to troubleshoot and resolve technical problems.
· Support and contribute to IT projects, including large-scale equipment moves and infrastructure enhancements.
· System Administration:
· Maintain workstation and server environments, ensuring high availability and stability.
· Perform workstation patching, testing, and deployment to maintain a secure IT environment.
· Document resolutions and update knowledge base articles to share learnings and best practices.
· Shift Rotations & Flexibility:
· Participate in a shift rota providing coverage from 07:00 to 19:00, Monday to Friday.
· Occasionally assist with systems infrastructure support, including Lenovo/HP/Dell workstations, Windows OS, SANs, and telephony systems.
What We're Looking For
· Experience in 2nd Line IT support with strong troubleshooting skills for Windows OS, Citrix Receiver, MS Office, and associated hardware/peripherals.
· Knowledge of workstation builds, patch management, and IT infrastructure tools.
· Excellent communication skills to support colleagues across the EMEA region, with cultural and language awareness.
· Proven ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
· Willingness to be flexible and adaptable to meet business needs.
