Our client in Kettering is looking for a Costing Assistant to join their busy technical department.

Your main duties include:

·  Calculating fabric & Lace usages using Lectra/Kaledo software, through the development of the garment to the final production stage.

·  Calculating accessory usages at various checking stages in the garments development.

·  Updating and maintaining the Product Design Management System (PDM).

·  Following the critical path, setting up bulk purchasing boms on ERP.

·  Maintaining Bulk Boms & Design Costings with any amendments.

·  Working closely with the design team on costing/pricing issues

·  Analysing over and under Fabric,Lace and accessory usages at the bulk production stage.

·  Co-ordinating ticket amendments /extra picks for RM stores.

·  Liaising with the Product Team and Accounts.

·  Liaising with the Purchasing Dept.

You will have the following key skills:

·  Understanding of garment construction & technical processes.

·  Excellent organisational skills with the ability to prioritise schedules and manage workload.

·  Strong numerical skills.

·  Excellent attention to detail.

·  Ability to focus and work to deadlines in busy periods.

·  Strong time management skills.

·  Strong interpersonal, communication skills at all levels, ensuring that both internal & external contacts are handled in a professional manner at all times.

·  Good analytic and problem solving skills.

·  Good PC skills - competent in MS packages.

·  Self-motivated.

·  Excellent attention to detail.

·  Flexible approach with the ability to work as part of a team or independently as required.

Desirable skills:

·  Knowledge of PLM - PDM - ERP systems or similar

·  Lectra & Kaledo Experience.

·  Understanding of the Critical Path process
