Minimum requirement in the office is currently once every 2 weeks, although the person may be required in more in the beginning whilst they train into the role.
Description
Specific accountabilities for the role
To work with internal colleagues and partner organisations, including the Voluntary and Community Sector to ensure that information presented on Hounslow.gov.uk, and Hounslow Connect is up to date, useful, usable, and meets all required accessibility standards including the Public Sector Bodies Accessibility Regulations 2018.
To support the Content Design Lead in the development of content standards, enforcing them and promoting good content design and the benefits to the resident and the Council
Support the Content Design Lead in developing and managing an annual 'calendar' of planned content reviews and updates to support all services with planning their content updates in advance.
Role Profile:
To work with contracted organisations on development of platforms, for example Ayup Digital on Hounslow Connect
To use analytical data of user journeys, search data, and relevant digital measures to make recommendations for continuous improvement.
To identify new and innovative ways to embed the websites, particularly Hounslow Connect, into internal and external stakeholder's working practices enabling resident empowerment to use digital services whilst accessing early help and prevention focused services.
To onboard new VCSE partners through outreach, engagement and capacity building to recognise the value of Hounslow Connect to support residents.
To strengthen partnerships with stakeholders through support drop ins, E-newsletters and other innovative means To support User Acceptance Testing (UAT) of content and UX across all digital platforms prior to release to residents.
To ensure that the digital services offered over Hounslow.gov.uk, Hounslow Connect and other digital channels support the One Hounslow approach. Putting residents at the heart of what the Council does and supports service provision that is preventative, timely, appropriate, and targeted
To develop and deliver digital marketing strategies, including the use of social media channels to promote the activity of the Localities service and partners thus supporting residents to access early help and support closer to home.
