Job description

Our client are looking for either a full time or part time cleaner (hours are normally between 9am and 5pm).

Pay rate is £11.86 per hour.

This role starts asap and is on an ongoing basis and could lead to a permanent position.

Details of the role are as follows:-

·  Working alongside and around the laboratory technicians to keep the lab and public areas clean, including restrooms and the warehouse.

·  Clean and buff floors, empty bins.

·  Clean worktops, benching and sink areas.

·  Loading and unloading glassware from dishwashers and sterilizers.

·  Clear the canteen area after each meal service, maintain the coffee machine and collect deliveries for the kitchen.

·  Sweep and clean the warehouse floors.

You must have the following skills and attributes:-

·  Attention to detail

·  Be reliable and conscientious

·  Have a good attendance record

·  Good timekeeping abilities

·  Adaptability

·  Understanding of laboratory Health & Safety

·  Ability to prioritise varied workload

·  Must be able to work to set procedures

·  COSHH

·  A keen interest in science and/or biology would be desirable
