Adecco Sunderland has a fantastic opportunity to join a well-established company who is experiencing a period of expansion and is therefore looking for a Claims Negotiator to join their team on a permanent basis based in Sunderland.

My client offers a competitive salary depending on experience.

The main purpose of the role is to provide a claim reporting, recovery and advice service to my client's customers with a view to settling on the best terms possible for the client and as quickly as possible.

Key Responsibilities:

� Open and scan post to correct file/claims handler

� Identify enquiry emails and forward on to correct claims handler

� Answer the telephone and take messages correctly

� Be the point of contact for customers in the reporting of claims, ensuring they receive prompt and accurate advice and information on how we deal with this on the customer's behalf

� Advising clients of their options in relation to replacement vehicles, repairs and any injury which may have been sustained

� Loading all gathered information accurately onto the relevant systems and maintaining records with up to date information

� Ensure all required documentation in support of the claim, e.g. report forms, witness statements, losses, vehicle documentation etc are dealt with and despatched to the relevant parties without delay

� Negotiate with insurers as required in relation to all aspects of the claim, specifically liability and quantum

� Despatch claims cheques as a matter of priority and on day of receipt

� Maintaining a diary system for all outstanding claims and ensuring these are chased regularly, keeping customers informed of progress

� Discussing options, and giving advice, throughout the claim to enable the client to receive the best possible outcome/settlement

� At all times, following the company policies and procedures

� Work as part of a team to ensure department workloads are complete and targets achieved

� Providing regular updates to Team Leader in relation to workloads

� Keeping Team Leaders informed of any issues, potential complaints or fraudulent claims

� To maintain the company's service standards and reputation for a high-quality claims service ensuring customer satisfaction

� Any other duties requested by your Team Leader or Manager in accordance with the nature of the position
