An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Civil Enforcement Officer to join a public sector organisation in East London.

The successful post holder will be required to undertake enforcement of designated areas within the area in accordance with Parking and Traffic legislation, localised Parking and Traffic Enforcement Policy and Codes of Practice.

The successful candidate would hold their NVQ in Civil Parking Enforcement or BTEC in CCTV enforcement or equivalent and have previous Civil parking enforcement experience.

Key duties will include:

·  To enforce Parking and Traffic contraventions across the borough in accordance with current local and national legislation.

·  To take enforcement action, including issuing of appropriate Penalty Charge Notices in strict accordance with established rules, procedures and legislation

·  On issuing Penalty Charge Notices, ensure there is sufficient photographic evidence and accurate written records are maintained and provided

·  To inspect all enforcement machines and equipment to ensure that they are operating prior to enforcement. To place 'Out of Order' notices on defective equipment, undertake minor repairs or replacements where possible and report defects and damages to Supervising Officer. Restock paper tickets if needed

·  Identify and report suspected abandoned vehicles and persistent offenders and make recommendations on their removal in accordance with policies and procedures

·  To issue Penalty Charge Notices using a Hand Held technology or CCTV devices ensuring that such units are tested before use and report any faults
