We require a candidate who has recent experience of undertaking a purchasing role the ideal candidate will have worked in a manufacturing role, however this is not essential.
Duties include:
-Control of the cost base for the above parts and supplier sourcing and selection.
-Processing of all internal purchase requisitions.
-Maintenance of the Company's consignment stocks for raw materials including weekly inventory reconciliation and production of reports.
-Understanding the ERP system
-Maintenance of the Company's Service Contracts (including Vending, Photocopiers etc.) and ensuring the Company receives 'best value' for these services.
-Maintaining accurate records in respect of monthly monitoring of Key material suppliers in accordance with department procedures.
-Issue and control of Company work wear and Company owned tooling and maintaining accurate records thereof.
-Progress chasing of orders to ensure that delivery targets are achieved
-Verification of raw material order acknowledgements and advising Purchasing Manager of any discrepancies.
-Verification of goods received daily.
-Filing and safe storage of all department records & correspondence and general housekeeping of computerised purchase records.
-Liaising with Accounts Department to resolve invoice queries and supplier payment problems.
-Analysis of data and production of spread sheets and reports as required.
-Updating of standard costs as required.
-Providing cover for the main Switchboard during lunchtime and holidays.
-Any other duties as requested by the Purchasing Manager.
