Job Description:
This will involve: Handling of service requests ensuring that the requirements are accurately recorded.
Encouraging and promoting self-service as an alternative access channel.
Promote the Business Support service within and outside the council.

Service Delivery This will involve:
Preparation of standard documents, standard/template letters, and standard reports, where possible channel-shifting communications with customers and stakeholders towards electronic and digital methods.
Handle and process customer/client electronic enquiries and incoming documents: such as task lists, applications, completed forms and notices. Organise own workload, and seek advice on the prioritisation of conflicting priorities.
To provide meeting support for statutory meetings. This may include involving external partners and members of the public. To work collaboratively with external agencies.
Provide support to colleagues across all departments as required.
Provide a mail handling, scanning, indexing and photocopying service for medium level requests.
Proficient use and management of IT applications. Ensure the correct storage of data and
documents in keeping with the service requirements and in line with Information management legislation.
Managing data entry in a timely manner ensuring quality and accuracy of data and correct use technical solutions provided.
Promote and champion the Business Support service within and outside the council. Promote and enable the flexibility of the wider Business Support Team, by proactively seeking opportunities to share and gain knowledge across both the immediate and wider supported service area.
Ensure business support practices align with the council's principles and values and reflect the needs of customers across all levels.
