We are currently recruiting for Building Handyperson to work at a local Educational establishment within the Estates team.

The Role

Location:Brunel University

Hours: 35 hours currently 08:30 - 16:30 Monday to Friday

Rate of Pay: £13.80p

Job Spec:
*To carry out planned and reactive maintenance on a range of building structures and fabric. Both internally and externally.
*Routine gutter clearing and maintenance, clearing drain and road gullies to ensure they are kept in good working order throughout the year..
*Routine inspection and cleaning of flat roofs, gullies, valleys and rainwater pipes on all the University buildings to ensure they are kept in good working order throughout the year.
*Installation of shelves, notice boards and similar minor carpentry work.
*Inspection and repairs to roof tiles, slates and flat roofs.
*Inspection and repairs to wall tiles and floor tiles, all types including grouting.
*Carry out painting and decoration, including redecoration and touch up repairs.
*Carry out repairs to all types of plaster work repairs.
*Inspect all roads and paving, carry out some small road/path repairs.
*To adopt a flexible approach using skills normally associated with other trades (training provided where necessary).
*To work with and assist other trades.
* To provide assistance to, and deputise for team members in their absence.
* To assist in compliance with the current health and safety legislation.
