Job Title: Bill of Materials Configurator
Salary: �30,000 p/a DOE
Hours: Monday to Friday 8:00am-5:00pm
Location: Poole, Dorset
Our successful client is looking for a BoM configurator to join their engineering and configuration team to improve the link between Design, Materials Planning & Sales by creating new options / layouts and BoM amendments.
The successful candidate will be able to carry out change requests and work with Procurement to ensure said changes do not create shortages & excess stock. The successful candidate will also:
* be able to read and understand drawings from all trades (Carpentry, Mechanical, Electrical, Composites)
* have an understanding of supply chain functions
* have a knowledge of SAP, Word and Excel
Example responsibilities include:
*Populating work breakdown structure BoMs throughout the development process to ensure demand is released in conjunction with drawing release plan, production plans and work packages - liaising closely with design, sales, supply chain and production
*Controlling the content and structure of Grandfather BoM and validate GF BoM change requests ensuring all documentation and databases are updated
*Performing GF BoM audits to ensure accuracy of content and scheduling of line side supply
*Analysing return to warehouse / ad-hoc requirements data and highlight areas for improvement
*Liaising with supply chain to ensure correct management
*Regular liaison with the design, planning, supply chain, sales, production engineering and production will be required
