Job role: Assurance Lead - Strategic Energy Planning

Location : Wokingham, Warwick, Glasgow, or London
Contract Length: 9 months (Hybrid working - 3 days on site)
Pay Rate: £650 per day via Umbrella inside IR35
About Us
Join our client's Strategic Energy Planning (SEP) team as an Assurance Lead and be part of their mission to guide Great Britain towards a sustainable energy future. You will play a pivotal role in the development and implementation of the Assurance framework for Strategic Energy Planning. As the Assurance Lead, you will collaborate with programme leads and their PMO teams to ensure the successful delivery of SEP's major deliverables.
The Role
As an Assurance Manager, you will lead the Project Management Office (PMO) for one of our Strategic Energy Planning (SEP) programmes. Your main responsibilities will include:
· Manage assurance requirements and ensure the readiness of the programme for a smooth Day 1 delivery.
· Collaborate with stakeholders and business leaders to identify assurance gaps and mitigate risks.
· Conduct assurance reviews based on delivery standards and stage gate criteria.
· Coordinate with internal and external assurance providers to develop a comprehensive schedule.
· Enhance the Assurance framework in collaboration with the NESO Assurance team.
Required Skills and Experience
We are seeking individuals with a passion for the energy industry and a track record in leading large-scale business assurance activities. Excellent communication, collaboration, and stakeholder management skills are crucial for this role. You should also possess strong problem-solving and analytical abilities to identify and address business readiness gaps and risks.
