Key Responsibilities
*To drive company vehicles to a limit within legal and personal competence as required to complete the requirements of the distribution centre or branch.
*To drive in a environmentally friendly manner, ensuring local site targets are adhered to in relation to the Microlise Vehicle tracking system.
*Represent our client by ensuring that personal appearance, and that of the vehicle is presentable at all times.
*Ensure you notify your branch or distribution centre of any delivery failures/issues or vehicle defects whilst off site during the working day.
*Ensure that all goods are signed for and signatures obtained either electronically or via a paper based system where applicable.
*Effectively plan delivery routes or to ensure you follow the scheduled routes when provided to maximise time/cost effectiveness and to meet specific customer requirements.
*Load and unload vehicles safely and effectively, taking account of product size, weight and delivery routing when required.
*Ensure that reasonable care is taken at all times for the purpose of ensuring that legal compliance is attained, Health and Safety and Company procedures regarding the use of the vehicle are adhered to at all times to protect both individual and company interest.
*Maintain high standards in performance, following through on KPIs and individual objectives.
Driver-7.5 tonne Vehicles
A driver for 7.5 tonne vehicle must also have the following:
*A C1 entitlement on your driving licence, if passed after 01/01/1997 or D1 if you passed before this date.
*Experience of driving 7.5 tonne vehicles including the operation of tail-lifts.
Day shift runs from 9:00am-5:30pm
Night shift runs from 9:30pm-6:00am
