Role Summary
VINCI Energies UK & ROI has just migrated its Business Units to CODEX Quartz. An opportunity exists for a Finance & Systems Expert who can help the office maximise the potential of CODEX Quartz for its BU’s, as well as increase the knowledge of CODEX Quartz amongst its key users, and the wider user group population. We anticipate this being a 24 month assignment.
Although this role is systems focused, to be successful, there has to be strong interest in how the systems could be best applied in a business and finance context.
They are required to build and maintain strong collaborative relationships with key finance and operational staff and will possess strong organisational, systems and process skills, as well as being able to work on their own initiative within a fast-paced environment.
Key Objectives
- Within a business context, ensure the core model functionalities of CODEX Quartz are understood and correctly adopted by the Business Unit’s
- Develop a plan to identify the additional functionalities available in CODEX Quartz that would help optimise business operations and then deliver that plan
- Help the Business Unit’s to further Automate/Digitise processes via CODEX Quartz
- Increase the knowledge and awareness of CODEX Quartz within the office
Desired profile
- Degree, or relevant qualification would be ideal
- Strong applications knowledge in particular, CODEX Quartz, and other Vinci Energies applications (eg Business Intelligence).
- Strong IT skills in particular, Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint and Word
- Knowledge or appreciation of how systems are used to analyse projects and business unit indicators, with a basic understanding of the various accounting concepts that could be adopted
- Knowledge or appreciation of basic accounting functions such as AP, AR, Timesheets and how they interact with each other
- Ability to analyse and interpret and process map accounting/business processes
- Strong oral and written communication skills. The person will need to be a confident communicator using the English language
- Friendly and approachable manner, able to build and sustain relationships based on trust at all levels
- Ability to use sound judgement to ensure the appropriate messages are delivered.
- An eye for detail, focused on quality and accuracy, within a face paced environment, without compromising deadlines.
- Able to plan and deliver projects within agreed timeframes
- Excellent organisational skills
- Ability to influence others
- A self-starter who can work on their own initiative but also be able to work effectively as part of a team.
