Package up to circa 55k: (£Competitive Salary + Pension + Share Scheme + Professional qualifications)

We are currently recruiting for an exceptional opportunity as a Group Finance Reporting & Consolidation Manager. We are very acquisitive and have a highly decentralised business model, where it is the Business Units responsibility to ensure that they meet all their internal and external reporting requirements.

It would be the role of the Group Finance Reporting & Consolidation Manager to plan, coordinate, support and consolidate the submissions from the Business Units to provide the CFO and CEO with the overall position of the Group. It would also be their responsibility to ensure that the reporting requirements to the Division are met.  

Whilst being a member of the Pole Finance team this will require a high level of interaction with local teams and as such they will be required to build and maintain strong collaborative relationships with the business units they serve. This person will be a self-starter who possesses excellent communication skills, both written and oral, have strong commercial awareness, problem solving skills and be able to work in a fast paced environment.

Key Objectives

• Manage the Consolidation of business unit performance reporting and production of periodic management reporting, budgets and forecasts
• Support the Groups business units in dealing with technical accounting and/or issues and co-ordinate the external audit and tax computation process
• Ensure the Group’s business units are in compliance with the Groups Banking and Treasury guidelines
• Delivering excellent customer service as part of the Group Finance function to subsidiary finance teams.

Desired profile

• CIMA, ACCA, AAT or equivalent accounting qualification
• Outstanding oral and written communication skills are imperative for this role.  The person will need to be a confident communicator, across all levels both internally and externally
• Ability to translate financial analysis into clear strategic objectives
• Friendly and approachable manner, able to build and sustain relationships based on trust at all levels
• An eye for detail, focused on quality and accuracy, within a face paced environment, without compromising deadlines.
• Ability to use sound judgement to ensure the appropriate messages are delivered
• Strong finance reporting and analytical skills
• Experience or familiarity of group reporting and consolidation
• An appreciation of standard costing and project accounting principles
• A familiarity or willingness to learn about accounting regulations in the Republic of Ireland
• A knowledge or willingness to learn about taxes such as VAT, CIS etc
• Strong IT skills in particular, Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint and Word. 
• Familiarity working with ERP systems such as SAP
• Able to plan and deliver projects within agreed timeframes
• Excellent organisational skills
• Ability to influence others
• A self-starter who can work on their own initiative but also be able to work effectively as part of a team.
