Actemium Mechanical - Finance Business Partner

Job description

Actemium, an international Electrical Services organization with a global turnover of €2.8 billion and based in over 40 countries. Actemium specialise in the bespoke design and fabrication of process related projects working to Food Hygiene standards and operating under BS EN1090 classifications. We are looking to appoint a Finance Business Partner to join our team. The ideal candidate will have some Project Accounting related experience.

The Finance Business Partner will provide accurate and timely financial information. Provide support to the Business Unit Manager to assist with the effective running of the business unit.  They are required to build and maintain strong collaborative relationships with the Operational staff within their BU.

You will possess excellent communication skills, have strong commercial awareness, and be able to work in a fast-paced environment. You will directly report to the BUGM and indirectly report in to the Perimeter Financial Controller Director providing monthly reports and management accounts.

Key objectives:

• Responsible for the finance and control of the both the entire BU’s
• Financial control of  ongoing projects and guiding the project managers in their profit control.
• Advise and support the Business Unit Manager and operational staff by providing and interpreting analytical information to enable effective decision making
• Provide support in ensuring that the rules, principles, and the internal control requirements of the Group are met
• Ensuring the Business Units meets all its reporting obligations

Technical skills and experience:

• Ability to translate financial analysis in to clear strategic objectives
• Friendly and approachable manner, able to build and sustain relationships based on trust at all levels
• An eye for detail, focused on quality and accuracy, within a in a face paced environment, without compromising deadlines.
• Ability to use sound judgement to ensure the appropriate messages are delivered.
• Strong financial skills applied in a project costing context
• Ability to analyse and interpret variances
• Good knowledge of basic accounting functions such as AP, AR, Timesheets
• Cash Management
• Strong IT skills in particular, Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Word. 
• Knowledge of SAP or Microsoft Dynamics with be Oracle preferable
• Able to plan and deliver projects within agreed timeframes
• Excellent organisational skills
• Experience of managing people
• Ability to influence others
• A self-starter who can work on their own initiative but also be able to work effectively as part of a team.
