Role
Reporting to the E-mobility Sector Manager, you will be responsible for providing technical, commercial, health & Safety management for the successful delivery of commercially viable projects of varying size and complexity and in compliance with current legislation. You will be engaged at sites throughout the UK.
Key Responsibilities:
- Responsible in partnership with the sector manager and our site teams, for all project activities and ultimately the profit and loss of all the contracts allocated.
- Project program management – labour, materials, sub-contractors and plant.
- Project Risk Management Control (during commercial and execution phases).
- Work with the EV team to develop new opportunities and strengthen existing client relationships.
- Commercial management of projects including
- Monthly project cost analysis/cost to complete forecast i.e. budget control including variations
- Promote a Positive H&S Culture, including H&S Control of site set-up and task completion, CPP, Method and Risk assessments. (CDM experience preferable)
- Quality Control & Environmental focus during project delivery
- Value engineering approach
- Delivery of projects through to successful completion
- Present to work in line with Actemium brand values along with a can do attitude.
Desired profile
About You
Already in a similar role or looking to progress, you will have a strong background in project management with demonstrable experience in electrical engineering, procurement, installation, testing, documentation and commissioning of the electrical/civil infrastructure projects.
You will assist the Sector Manager in technical and commercial aspects of the programme roll out. You will provide expertise to guide installation engineers and contractors through installation and commissioning phases. Communicating and recording as necessary with the client, sub-contractor, and internal management as necessary.
Job Requirements:
- The candidate would be expected to have several years Project Management experience
- Degree or HNC/HND qualified in Electrical Engineering) or equivalent technical discipline would be ideal
- SMSTS
- Experienced in the Design of Low Voltage installation in an industrial/Commercial environment.
- Experience in the Design of MV/HV Installation (beneficial but not essential)
- Experienced in site survey 's leading to modifications of existing equipment.
- Ability to multi-task and deliver/control multiple projects simultaneously
- A self—disciplined approach, organized, structured and consistent in approach.
- A calm professional manner
- A “Can-Do” “Roll the sleeves up” attitude with a friendly, fun, quirky, engaging personality
- Specific EV Charging knowledge is preferred but not essential, a passion for Electric Vehicles and associated Infrastructure projects is of greater importance
- Knowledge of construction sites also beneficial for larger scale schemes
- Strong communication skills (written & oral) are required for colleagues, customers, suppliers, sub-contractors (i.e. all levels).
