Job description
Actemium Design are a specialist design house within the Nuclear industry. Being part of VINCI Energies has allowed Actemium Design to grow in fast and exciting manner. We are currently recruiting for a Document Controller to join our team in Chorley. The role will see you provide administrative support functions to ensure a successful project delivery. The ideal candidate will have worked in a similar role in an engineering or technical industry.

Role
The scale and duration of this programme of work requires a dedicated Document Controller to support the administrative functions of successful project delivery. The Document Controller will report to the Project Managers across the various workstreams and be responsible for the coordination and management of all associated project documentation. Responsibilities include:
- Ensuring compliance with the company procedures for the control of drawings, documents, and other project related records
- Maintaining configuration management through the allocation of unique drawing / document reference numbers, version control and archiving outdated information
- Tracking all incoming and outgoing project related information and distributing to the correct recipients
- Raising transmittals for all outgoing correspondence containing project deliverables
- Supporting the project delivery team to comply with the Security Aspects Letter (SAL) by ensuring the appropriate classification of drawings / documentation
- Working with the Quality Assurance (QA) Manager in conducting project audits
- Producing design review packs and Lifetime Quality Records (LTQR) by pulling together the necessary project related documentation and design deliverables
Desired profile
- HNC in administration and Information Technology (IT) or similar
- Highly competent in the use of the Microsoft Office suite of applications
- Must be highly organised and able to prioritise their own workload to plan and manage activities
- Must be used to working in an office environment and meeting deadlines to programme
- Experience of working within an engineering or technical industry would be an advantage
