Actemium Automation is a control and automation systems integrator. We operate from 12 offices in England and employ 250 people. We are part of VINCI Energies; a £12.5 billion organisation and we are looking to recruit a  Controls Systems Engineer to join their expanding team in the Birmingham office

The Role

The role will see you tasked with Project delivery mostly within Process industries, Materials Handling, Food & Bev and Water.

• Actively participates in the whole life cycle of delivering projects, from start to finish.
• Foster great relationships with customers, suppliers and colleagues.
• Produce design and test documentation.
• Develop PLC, HMI and SCADA software.
• Perform testing with customers.
• Carry out on-site commissioning.
• Compile training manuals and run customer training sessions.

Desired profile

The Person

• Intermediate level of experience with one or more of the following; Rockwell, Siemens and Mitsubishi PLC platforms, with an appetite to learn new technologies
• Intermediate level of experience with one or more of the following; Rockwell Factory Talk, Siemens WinCC, Wonderware (InTouch and/or System Platform) SCADA and HMI platforms with an appetite to learn new technologies
• Produce design and test documentation to a professional standard
• Several years' experience developing PLC, HMI and SCADA software from scratch
• Perform testing with customers
• Carry out on-site commissioning
• There is an opportunity for World travel to commission for the food and Bev industry.
• Ability to work unsupervised
