Are ready to take your culinary skills to the next level, then join our Kitchen team in the capacity of Cook!

Temporary Cook

·  Consistently offer professional, friendly and proactive guest service while supporting fellow Colleagues
·  Ensure that adequate meal preparation is completed for breakfast, lunch and dinner
·  Ensure that all meals are prepared according to set recipes
·  Ability to work hot and cold side of the kitchen
·  Knowledgeable of standard operating procedures
·  Provide extensive hands on training support to both management and colleagues
·  Liaise daily with the Chef de Partie or designate to keep open lines of communication regarding service improvements
·  Assist with maintaining and enhancing the food products
·  Working with the management team to ensure adequate inventory and products are available for food production
·  Assist with maintaining cleanliness and proper rotation of product in chillers
·  Balance operational, administrative and Colleague needs effectively
·  Ensure the cleanliness and maintenance of all work areas, utensils, and equipment
·  Follow kitchen policies, procedures and service standards
·  Follow all safety and sanitation policies when handling food and beverage

Qualifications:

·  Certification in a Culinary discipline preferred
·  Computer literate in Microsoft applications an asset
·  Strong interpersonal and problem solving abilities
·  Highly responsible & reliable
·  Ability to work well under pressure in a fast paced environment
·  Ability to work cohesively as part of a team
·  Ability to focus, remaining calm and courteous at all times

Qualifications

·  Associate Degree in Culinary Arts or
·  Certification in a Culinary discipline preferred
·  CXC certification in Mathematics and English
·  Computer literate - Microsoft will be an asset

·  Service focused personality is essential
·  Must be energetic and able to lift and pull items 15 - 20 pounds.
·  Must be able to effectively handle competing demands via prioritising.
·  Ability to stand for lengthy periods
