Job Description

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Tailor to join our prestigious hotel in the beautiful island of Phu Quoc, Vietnam. As a key member of our housekeeping team, you will be responsible for maintaining and repairing uniforms, linens, and guest garments to the highest standards of quality and efficiency.

·  Mend and alter uniforms, room and F&B linens, and guest laundry to maintain the hotel's exceptional standards
·  Ensure all work meets quality standards and is completed in a timely manner
·  Repair guest clothing upon request, ensuring prompt delivery
·  Maintain an organised and clean work area, including proper care of sewing equipment
·  Manage stock levels of necessary materials and supplies
·  Participate in daily briefings with the linen room staff
·  Assist with uniform distribution to staff members, explaining exchange policies when necessary
·  Conduct simple mending tasks for guest laundry, such as sewing buttons or repairing seams
·  Report any defects or damages in uniforms or equipment to the Linen & Uniform Room Supervisor
·  Separate linens, uniforms, and curtains for repair or replacement as needed
·  Maintain awareness of daily hotel activities and product knowledge of all hotel facilities
·  Comply with hotel safety, hygiene, and fire policies
·  Provide efficient and courteous service to guests and colleagues

Qualifications

·  Minimum of 3 years' experience as a Tailor, preferably in a luxury hotel environment
·  Relevant service certificates or recommendation letters demonstrating exceptional tailoring skills
·  Proficiency in various sewing techniques and knowledge of different fabrics and materials
·  Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work
·  Excellent time management and organisational skills
·  Customer-focused attitude with the ability to provide courteous and efficient service
·  Team player with strong communication skills
·  Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
·  Knowledge of hotel operations and facilities preferred
·  Commitment to maintaining a clean and organised work area
·  Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and work schedules
·  Willingness to attend training sessions and stay updated on industry trends
