PURPOSE OF POSITION
KEY ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Responsibilities and essential job functions include but are not limited to the following:
· To adhere strictly to the grooming standards of the hotel
· To report to work fifteen minutes before time and is to be in full uniform
· To sign in and indicate the time on the attendance record
· To follow the Supervisor’s instructions accordingly
· To check the dishwashing machines thoroughly and to check if the machine has been washed. To check and see if the detergents for the machine needs to be replenished
· To send all soiled towels to the laundry and to get dry, clean towels from Housekeeping. At the same time, washing soap must be requested for hand washing
· To assist in polishing the silver and copperware
· To keep the work area clean, tidy and dry at all times
· To wash the dishes as requested by the Steward Supervisor when there is a Banquet event
· To ensure that the water in the dishwashing machine should be maintained at a constant
· To ensure that the water in the dishwashing machine must be changed once every 2 hours
· To put on rubber gloves, wear an apron and hair net should he/she want to operate machine. To observe all correct procedures in handling the machinery
· To ensure that a decoy system must be set up before all soiled dishes are brought into the kitchen from the outlet. A container of detergent must be prepared in advance for soaking the cutleries
· To initial on the Attendance Record when he/she is off-duty
· To report to his/her supervisor when any equipment is damaged/faulty or any operating equipment has been misused
· To stack all glass rack for dishes at the proper place

ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS

Educational Requirements:
· Minimum Secondary education an advantage
Experience Requirements:
· Minimum 1 - 2 years relevant experience in a similar capacity an advantage
Physical Requirements:
· Physically fit
· Clean and professional appearance
