Mission

To oversee and manage the daily operations of the Sofitel Spa, ensuring the highest levels of luxury guest experience, operational efficiency, and financial performance. The SPA Manager embodies Sofitel’s “Art de Vivre” philosophy, creating a sanctuary of wellness, relaxation, and indulgence for every guest, while leading and inspiring a professional team of heartists.

Key Responsibilities

Operational Responsibilities

· 
Direct and supervise daily spa operations including reception, treatment rooms, retail, and wellness areas.

· 
Ensure compliance with Sofitel service standards, SOPs, and brand identity guidelines.

· 
Monitor treatment quality and consistency through regular inspections and guest feedback.

· 
Maintain adequate inventory of products, linens, and spa supplies with cost control measures.

Financial Responsibilities

· 
Prepare and manage the annual budget, ensuring profitability and cost efficiency.

· 
Achieve revenue targets through effective yield management, promotions, and cross-selling initiatives.

· 
Analyze performance reports (occupancy, average treatment rate, retail sales per guest) and take corrective actions.

· 
Introduce innovative wellness packages and partnerships to enhance spa business.

People & Culture Responsibilities

· 
Recruit, train, and develop spa team members to deliver exceptional guest service.

· 
Conduct regular performance reviews, coaching, and career development discussions.

· 
Uphold Sofitel grooming standards and code of conduct at all times.

· 
Promote a positive and motivating work environment aligned with Accor’s Heartist values.

Guest Experience Responsibilities

· 
Ensure each guest receives a personalized spa journey that exceeds expectations.

· 
Handle guest complaints promptly, professionally, and with empathy.

· 
Drive continuous improvement of guest satisfaction scores and online reviews.

· 
Collaborate with Rooms, F&B, and Marketing teams for integrated guest experiences.

Health, Safety & Compliance

· 
Ensure all spa operations comply with Malaysian statutory requirements and Sofitel safety standards.

· 
Implement hygiene protocols in all treatment rooms and public areas.

· 
Conduct regular training on safety, first aid, and emergency response.

Qualifications & Requirements

· 
Diploma/Degree in Spa & Wellness Management, Hospitality, or related field.

· 
Minimum 3–5 years’ experience as Spa Manager in a luxury hotel/resort.

· 
Strong knowledge of spa treatments, international wellness trends, and guest preferences.

· 
Financial acumen with proven track record in revenue management.

· 
Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.

· 
Proficiency in English required; Bahasa Malaysia and Mandarin an advantage.

Qualifications

SPA Manager – Qualifications

Education & Certification

· 
Diploma or Degree in Hospitality Management, Wellness, Spa Management, or related field.

· 
Professional spa, beauty, or wellness certifications (e.g., CIDESCO, CIBTAC, ITEC) are an added advantage.

Experience

· 
Minimum 3–5 years of experience in spa operations, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or managerial role.

· 
Previous experience in a luxury hotel/resort spa or wellness environment is highly preferred.

· 
Proven track record in managing spa revenue, treatments, retail sales, and guest satisfaction.

Skills & Competencies

· 
Strong leadership and team management skills with the ability to inspire and motivate a multicultural team.

· 
Knowledge of spa treatments, wellness therapies, and beauty services.

· 
Business acumen with the ability to drive sales, manage budgets, and achieve financial targets.

· 
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills in English (knowledge of additional languages is an advantage).

High level of customer service orientation with a focus on guest satisfaction.

· 
Knowledge of health, safety, hygiene, and local regulations related to spa operations.
