Job Description
Job Overview:
As a Sous Chef at Masala Library, you will play a crucial role in delivering exceptional culinary experiences inspired by Indian cuisine. You will assist in managing kitchen operations, ensuring high standards of food quality, presentation, and safety while leading a talented team.
Key Responsibilities:
· Assist the Executive Chef in the overall kitchen management and daily operations.
· Oversee food preparation and cooking processes, ensuring dishes meet the restaurant's standards.
· Collaborate with the culinary team to create innovative and seasonal menus that reflect the essence of Indian cuisine.
· Train, mentor, and supervise kitchen staff, promoting teamwork and a positive work environment.
· Maintain inventory and order supplies, ensuring proper stock levels and quality control.
· Monitor food safety and sanitation practices, ensuring compliance with health regulations.
· Assist in managing kitchen costs and minimizing waste.
· Engage with guests to gather feedback and enhance their dining experience.
· Stay current with culinary trends and techniques, implementing them as appropriate.
Qualifications
Qualifications:
· Culinary degree or equivalent experience.
· Minimum 3-5 years of experience in a fine dining kitchen, with at least 2 years in a supervisory role.
· Strong knowledge of Indian cuisine and cooking techniques.
· Proven ability to manage a team and work in a fast-paced environment.
· Excellent communication and organizational skills.
· Creativity and passion for culinary arts.
· Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
