Job Description
Key Responsibilities :
· Oversee general accounting functions.
· Manage closing activities
· Audit support
· Balance sheet reconciliation
· Tax compliance
· Assist in implementing and management of projects in the area of finance and accounting.
Accounting
· Perform general accounting GL activities.
· Participate in the preparation of monthly, quarterly and annual financial closure and reporting process including analytical review and consolidation entries.
· Assist in both internal and external audits, maintain internal controls, and ensure adherence to financial regulations.
· Reconcile financial records, including bank statements, accounts payable, and accounts receivable ensure all entries are accurate and that transactions are reported in accordance with accounting standards and government regulations.
· Contribute to corporate financial projects, process improvements, and system upgrades.
Tax
· Take ownership of Tax compliance and reporting processes, ensure the timely and accurate tax return, direct and indirect, in collaboration with local firms.
· Assist the preparation and submission of accurate and timely tax returns, including income tax and other tax-related filings.
· Assist in external audits (Direct and Indirect Tax)
Team collaboration
· Collaborate closely with cross-cultural, functional teams, tax professionals, operational departments, outsourced shared service centre and external auditors.
· Provide guidance and training to other team members.
Qualifications
· Bachelor’s Degree in Finance or Accounting or in a relevant discipline.
· Good command of English, both written and spoken.
· Thorough knowledge of accounting principles and procedures, working knowledge of hospitality industry.
· Strong analytical and management report writing skills.
· Highly organized with detailed oriented and solution oriented attitude.
· Ability to work independently as well as working in a team.
· Ability to multitask and work under pressure to meet tight deadlines.
