Job Description
The Security Officer is responsible for ensuring the safety and security of guests, colleagues, and hotel assets at Raffles & Fairmont Doha. The role requires maintaining a secure environment through vigilance, professionalism, and proactive response, while delivering courteous and discreet service in line with luxury hospitality standards.
Key Responsibilities:
· Maintain the safety and security of guests, employees, and property at all times
· Conduct regular patrols of hotel premises, including public areas, back-of-house, and perimeter
· Monitor CCTV systems and respond promptly to any security concerns or incidents
· Control access points and ensure proper identification and authorization procedures are followed
· Respond to emergencies such as fire alarms, medical incidents, and security threats in accordance with established SOPs
· Prepare accurate incident reports and logs in a timely manner
· Assist guests and colleagues in a courteous, calm, and professional manner
· Support VIP and Royal guest movements with discretion and confidentiality
· Enforce hotel policies, safety procedures, and local laws and regulations
· Coordinate with local authorities and emergency services when required
· Participate in security drills, training, and risk assessments
· Ensure compliance with fire life safety standards and emergency procedures
· Identify potential hazards and report safety risks immediately
· Assist in investigations related to accidents, theft, or property damage
· Follow all brand standards, confidentiality requirements, and ethical conduct policies
Qualifications
· Minimum 1–2 years of experience in hotel security or a related field preferred
· Experience in luxury hotels and/or resort is an advantage
· Valid security license or certification as per local regulations
· Knowledge of fire safety, first aid, and emergency response procedures
