Job Description
Key Responsibilities:
· Identify and pursue new business opportunities for meetings, conferences, and events.
· Develop and implement sales strategies to achieve revenue targets and grow the hotel's meetings and events business.
· Conduct market research to identify potential clients and trends in the meetings and events industry.
· Build and maintain strong relationships with corporate clients, event planners, and other key stakeholders.
· Provide exceptional customer service by understanding client needs and offering tailored solutions.
· Act as the main point of contact for clients from the initial inquiry through to the event’s completion.
· Prepare and present proposals, quotes, and contracts to clients, ensuring they meet their event requirements and budget.
· Negotiate terms and conditions to secure bookings and achieve favorable terms for both the client and the hotel.
· Collaborate with the marketing team to create promotional materials and campaigns aimed at driving event sales.
· Oversee the planning and execution of meetings and events, coordinating with internal departments such as catering, audio-visual, and event services to ensure a smooth operation.
· Ensure all event details are accurately documented and communicated to relevant departments.
· Conduct site visits and pre-event briefings to guarantee that client expectations are met.
· Work closely with the hotel’s event planning and operations teams to ensure the successful delivery of events.
· Participate in sales meetings and contribute to the development of overall sales and marketing strategies.
· Provide training and support to junior team members as needed.
Qualifications
· Bachelor’s degree in Hospitality Management, Business, Marketing, or a related field.
· Proven experience (typically 3-5 years) in a sales or event management role within the hotel industry.
· Strong understanding of the meetings and events industry, including trends and client needs.
· Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
· Ability to build and maintain professional relationships with clients and internal teams.
· Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and experience with event management and CRM systems.
· Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple events and priorities simultaneously.
