Job Description
SO/ Sotogrande, a luxury hotel in the beautiful coastal town of Sotogrande, Spain, is seeking a professional and customer-focused Restaurant Supervisor to join our team. As a Restaurant Supervisor, you will play a crucial role in ensuring exceptional dining experiences for our guests while leading and motivating our restaurant staff.
· Oversee daily restaurant operations, ensuring smooth service and high customer satisfaction
· Lead, train, and motivate the restaurant team to maintain SO/ Sotogrande's high standards of service
· Manage staff scheduling, assignments, and performance evaluations
· Ensure compliance with food safety and hygiene standards
· Handle customer inquiries, special requests, and resolve any issues promptly and professionally
· Collaborate with the kitchen team to maintain menu knowledge and assist with food and wine pairings
· Manage inventory, place orders, and control costs while maintaining quality
· Implement and maintain SO/ Sotogrande's luxury hospitality standards
· Assist in organizing and executing special events and promotions
· Monitor and maintain the cleanliness and appearance of the restaurant area
Qualifications
· Minimum 2-3 years of experience in restaurant supervision or management, preferably in luxury dining establishments
· Proven leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage a team effectively
· Excellent customer service skills and a passion for creating memorable dining experiences
· Strong knowledge of food and beverage service, including wine pairing
· Proficiency in using Point of Sale (POS) systems and inventory management tools
· Solid understanding of food safety and hygiene standards
· Excellent conflict resolution and problem-solving skills
· Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays
· Fluency in English and Spanish; additional languages are a plus
· High school diploma required; Bachelor's degree in Hospitality Management or related field preferred
· Food Safety Certification (e.g., ServSafe) required
· Knowledge of Spanish and international cuisine
· Familiarity with luxury hospitality standards and practices
· Strong organizational and multitasking abilities
· Adaptability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
