Job Description

THE ROLE

·  Manage the daily operation of Harbour Society and help deliver the best guest experience
·  Be part of the creative process of all things F&B from menu design, beverage pairing, and activations 
·  Lead and mentor the Harbour Society FOH team and create help shape a collaborative culture based on mutual respect and trust
·  Review, implement and maintain operational standards, ensuring efficiency delivery of the highest standards of service
·  Handling any guest queries that come through including bookings, special requests etc
·  Responsible for the stock take of the outlet with accuracy and efficiency and assisting in the financial performance targets of the outlet
·  Management of the team, including payroll, rosters, daily briefings, onboarding, recruitment, performance reviews
·  Overseeing micros for the department and correct use of it during shifts (including training of staff on micros), and advise of any updates/changes required to be in line with guest offerings
·  To liaise with the other departments in the hotel on a daily basis to ensure smooth operations

Qualifications

THE PERSON

·  Proven experience in a 5 star hotel/established restaurant hotel environment with a minimum of 2 years leadership experience
·  Ability to thrive in a fast paced environment
·  Knowledgeable in current F&B trends, industry best practices, the local culinary scene and a understanding & appreciation of the luxury-lifestyle space
·  LCQ/current Managers Certificate/First Aid/Food Safety/Health & Safety focused
·  Good understanding of Micros, Opera, ResDiary and Microsoft Office applications
·  Strong leadership and team-building skills with a proven ability to build and maintain good relationships with all guests and staff
·  Proven experience in meeting budgeted and forecasted for costs for payroll/wage costs and department costs, P&L, budgets
·  Excellent numeracy, verbal and written communication skills
·  Flexibility in working with a rotating roster and different shifts as operationally needed
