We are seeking a professional and customer-focused Restaurant Captain to join our team in Baghdad, Iraq. As a Restaurant Captain, you will play a crucial role in ensuring exceptional dining experiences for our guests while leading and supporting our service staff.
· Oversee and coordinate all aspects of dining room operations
· Lead, train, and motivate the service team to maintain high standards of customer service
· Greet and seat guests, ensuring a warm and welcoming atmosphere
· Manage reservations and handle special requests or complaints professionally
· Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely and accurate food service
· Conduct pre-shift briefings and assign duties to team members
· Monitor and maintain cleanliness and presentation of the dining area
· Assist in menu planning and wine list development
· Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and restaurant policies
· Handle cash and credit transactions accurately
· Prepare reports on sales, customer feedback, and staff performance
Qualifications
· 3-5 years of experience in fine dining or upscale restaurants
· Previous experience as a captain or in a similar leadership role
· Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
· Strong leadership and team management abilities
· Proficiency in restaurant management software
· In-depth knowledge of food and beverage service standards
· Ability to handle high-pressure situations and solve problems efficiently
