Job Description
Pullman Cairns International is seeking a Full-Time Public Areas Attendant to join our Housekeeping team.
In this hands-on role, you will be responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and presentation of the hotel’s public and back-of-house areas, ensuring a consistently high standard throughout the property. From the lobby through to guest corridors and shared facilities, your work helps shape the first impression and overall experience of every guest.
This role is ideal for someone who enjoys staying active, takes pride in presentation, and works well as part of a supportive and fast-paced team.
Key responsibilities include:
· Maintaining cleanliness and presentation of all guest-facing public areas
· Cleaning and caring for spaces such as the lobby, corridors, lifts, and facilities
· Monitoring public areas and responding promptly to cleaning needs
· Restocking and maintaining guest amenities in shared bathrooms and facilities
· Supporting cleanliness in back-of-house and staff areas
· Working collaboratively with the Housekeeping team to uphold hotel standards
Qualifications

What we’re looking for:
· Positive attitude and strong work ethic
· Good attention to detail and pride in presentation
· Ability to work independently and stay organised
· Physical ability to carry out cleaning duties throughout a shift
· Flexibility to work a rotating 7-day roster, including weekends and public holidays
· Previous experience in cleaning, housekeeping, or hospitality is an advantage but not essential
